This place has a great slow food vibe. I really enjoyed the capricciosa pizza revisitation, especially since the ingredients are sourced from local stores near Pontassieve, and the beers from near Florence are pretty good too.

A magical place. Kudos to the owner, he's a truly wonderful person. Kind and courteous, as are all his employees. Fantastic pizza, and truly delicious olive oil. For dessert, we had a calzone. Simple but truly excellent. Highly recommended 💯✌️

I've eaten at this pizzeria, or maybe not... actually, I went specifically to try their pizzas, which everyone had been talking about for a while. This historic establishment, run by Andrea Bongi, celebrates its seventieth anniversary this year and a few days ago earned two stars in the Gambero Rosso Pizzeria d'Italia 2026 guide. It also received a mention among the excellent pizzerias in the 50 Top Pizza Italia 2025 guide. I chose a Casentinese with fiordilatte from Campania, porcini mushrooms, and Grigio del Casentino prosciutto. My husband chose a Donato with bardiccio, caramelized onion, and Tuscan pecorino. Although white pizzas aren't my favorite, it was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The dough was like a cloud, super light and easy to digest, and the ingredients were excellent. I can't wait to go back, because if the white pizza had this effect on me, who knows how much I'll love the red ones! Well done, really.
